Grapefruit Peel Candied

Ingredients
- 3 grapefruit, peeled and cut in strips
- 3 qt. water
- 2 1/2 lb. sugar
Directions
- Peel the grapefruit; cut in strips.
- Cook in the water and sugar.
- Keep adding water as it cooks.
- When it looks transparent, you have to keep stirring, then use sugar to roll pieces in until it will absorb no more.
- Lay on wax paper, then put in container. Eat as pieces of candy.
