Grapefruit Pie

Grapefruit Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 grapefruits pink or ruby red
  • water
  • 3 Tbsp cornstarch
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 c sugar
  • red food coloring
  • 1 pie shell baked

Directions

  1. Cut grapefruits in half
  2. Put sections with membrane removed into a drainer set over a measuring cup
  3. Add water to make 1 12 cups of liquid
  4. Add all ingredients except pie shell together and cook until thickened
  5. Cool
  6. Add grapefruit sections
  7. Pour into baked pie shell
  8. Chill
  9. Serve with whipped topping
