Gratin Potatoes
Ingredients
- 5 medium potatoes peeled and sliced
- 3 to 4 medium onions peeled and sliced
- 2 Tbsp margarine
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp salt
- dash of black pepper
- dash of nutmeg
- 1 tsp thyme leaves
- 3 Tbsp parsley
- 12 c whipping cream
- paprika
Directions
- Saute onions in margarine until soft and transparent
- In a baking dish arrange in layers the sliced potatoes and onions Sprinkle with garlic seasonings in between layers
- Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes
- Add whipping cream all over top
- Sprinkle with paprika
- Increase temperature to 400
- Bake another 10 to 20 minutes until potatoes are soft and brown on top
- Serve with broiled meat
