Great Northern Bean Stew
Ingredients
- 1 lb bulk pork sausage
- 1 c coarsely chopped onions
- 1 c thinly sliced carrots
- 2 c chopped cabbage
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 28 oz can whole tomatoes undrained cut up
- 1 155 oz can Great Northern beans drained
- 12 tsp paprika
- 12 tsp dried thyme leaves
- 14 to 12 tsp salt
- 12 tsp pepper
- 1 Tbsp vinegar
- 14 tsp hot red pepper sauce
- 13 c chopped fresh parsley or 1 Tbsp dried parsley flakes
Directions
- In large saucepan or 4-quart Dutch oven brown sausage and onions drain
- Stir in all remaining ingredients bring to a boil
- Reduce heat cover and simmer 15 minutes
- Makes 6 1 cup servings
