Grits Souffle
Ingredients
- 1 c grits
- 3 Tbsp hot milk
- 2 Tbsp onion chopped fine
- 12 c Cheddar cheese grated
- 3 egg whites beaten stiff
- 12 tsp salt
- 3 egg yolks
Directions
- Combine grits milk onion and salt in a medium size bowl Beat yolks until thick and lemon color
- Stir yolk and cheese into mix
- Pour into a greased casserole dish
- Set casserole in a baking pan and pour boiling water in pan to a depth of 1 inch Bake at 350 for 1 hour
- Serve immediately
- Serves 6
