Ham And Mac Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 6 oz pkg elbow macaroni 1 23 c
  • 2 Tbsp prepared mustard
  • dash of pepper
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 c cubed fully cooked ham
  • 1 c soft bread crumbs 1 14 slices
  • 14 c margarine or butter
  • 14 c all-purpose flour
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 2 c reconstituted nonfat dry milk
  • 2 medium apples peeled and thinly sliced 2 c
  • 2 Tbsp margarine melted

Directions

  1. Cook macaroni in boiling salted water until tender 8 to 10 minutes
  2. Drain
  3. In a large saucepan melt 14 cup margarine Blend in flour mustard salt and pepper
  4. Add milk all at once Stir in sugar
  5. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly
  6. Stir in macaroni ham and apple
  7. Turn into 2-quart casserole Combine crumbs and melted margarine Sprinkle over casserole
  8. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes
  9. Serves 8
