Ham With Gingered Pineapple
Ingredients
- 5 lb canned ham
- 1 15 14 oz can Del Monte sliced pineapple in juice
- 14 c sugar
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 12 tsp ground ginger
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
Directions
- Bake ham on rack in roasting pan at 350 for 1 12 hours or until thermometer registers 140
- Blend juice from pineapple with sugar soy sauce ginger and cornstarch in saucepan
- Cook stirring until thickened
- Twist pineapple slices and arrange on ham
- Brush sauce over pineapple and ham
- Bake 30 minutes longer brushing with remaining sauce after 15 minutes
