HannahS Cheese Puffs
Ingredients
- 8 slices white bread
- 4 slices sharp cheese
- 2 eggs
- 2 c milk
- 12 tsp salt
- 18 tsp pepper
- 14 tsp dry mustard
Directions
- Arrange 4 bread slices in the bottom of a large greased baking dish
- Cover with a slice of cheese
- Beat the eggs until they are frothy
- Add the milk salt pepper and dry mustard mixing them well
- Pour over the sandwiches
- Heat the oven to 350
- Place the baking dish in the refrigerator and let it stand until the milk mixture is absorbed by the bread
- Bake for 30 minutes
- The sandwiches will be puffed and lightly brown when done
- Serves 4
