Ingredients

  • 1 c cider vinegar
  • 1 c Burgundy wine
  • 2 onions sliced
  • 1 stalk celery chopped
  • 2 whole allspice
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1 12 tsp pepper
  • 3 lb boned chuck pot roast or bottom roast
  • 13 c vegetable oil
  • 4 Tbsp unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 12 c crushed gingersnaps
