HanS Sauerbraten
Ingredients
- 1 c cider vinegar
- 1 c Burgundy wine
- 2 onions sliced
- 1 stalk celery chopped
- 2 whole allspice
- 2 whole cloves
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 1 12 tsp pepper
- 3 lb boned chuck pot roast or bottom roast
- 13 c vegetable oil
- 4 Tbsp unsifted all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 12 c crushed gingersnaps
Directions
- Step 1
- In a large bowl combine vinegar wine onions celery spices salt and pepper
- Wash meat with a damp cloth put in marinade cover and refrigerate for 3 days
- Turn meat occasionally
