Happy Surprise Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 Betty Crocker yellow cake mix
  • 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 large pkg instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple drained
  • 1 medium Cool Whip
  • 1 c chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Bake cake as directed on package
  2. Cool
  3. Beat cream cheese until fluffy about 3 minutes
  4. Add pudding to cream cheese and add the amount of milk as directed on pudding
  5. Beat together will be lumpy
  6. Spread on cake
  7. Spread crushed pineapple on cream cheese mixture
  8. For best results cover and refrigerate overnight at this stage
  9. Spread Cool Whip on top of pineapple Top with chopped nuts
  10. Any type of fruit can be substituted ie bananas peaches cherries strawberries blueberries or boysenberries
