Harvard Beets

Ingredients

  • 2 c cooked beets canned
  • 1 12 Tbsp flour or cornstarch
  • 13 c vinegar
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 13 c sugar
  • 1 12 Tbsp butter
  • pepper to taste
  • liquid from beets

Directions

  1. Mix sugar and flour add vinegar and beet juice
  2. Cook until thickened
  3. Add salt and butter and add to beets and heat
