Hawaiian-Style Chicken
Ingredients
- 14 c unsifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 18 tsp pepper
- 2 lb frying chicken pieces
- 3 Tbsp salad oil
- 12 c water
- 1 10 oz pkg Birds Eye Hawaiian-style vegetable with pineapple and a seasoned sauce
- 1 Tbsp catsup
Directions
- Combine flour salt and pepper dredge chicken pieces
- Heat oil in large skillet add chicken and brown well on both sides Turn chicken skin side up and add water
- Bring to a boil cover and simmer 30 minutes
- Place chicken on platter and keep warm Add vegetables to skillet
- Bring to a full boil over medium heat separating vegetables with fork
- Stir until sauce cubes are blended
- Reduce heat cover and simmer 3 minutes
- Stir in catsup and serve over chicken
- Makes 3 servings
