Hawaiian-Style Chicken

Ingredients

  • 14 c unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 18 tsp pepper
  • 2 lb frying chicken pieces
  • 3 Tbsp salad oil
  • 12 c water
  • 1 10 oz pkg Birds Eye Hawaiian-style vegetable with pineapple and a seasoned sauce
  • 1 Tbsp catsup

Directions

  1. Combine flour salt and pepper dredge chicken pieces
  2. Heat oil in large skillet add chicken and brown well on both sides Turn chicken skin side up and add water
  3. Bring to a boil cover and simmer 30 minutes
  4. Place chicken on platter and keep warm Add vegetables to skillet
  5. Bring to a full boil over medium heat separating vegetables with fork
  6. Stir until sauce cubes are blended
  7. Reduce heat cover and simmer 3 minutes
  8. Stir in catsup and serve over chicken
  9. Makes 3 servings
