Healthful Date Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz pkg pitted dates snipped
  • 1 c raisins
  • 1 12 c boiling water
  • 2 c whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 slightly beaten egg whites
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 12 c chopped almonds

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl combine dates and raisins
  2. Pour boiling water over mixture
  3. Set aside to cool slightly
  4. Stir together flour baking soda baking powder and salt
