Heavenly Onion Casserole

Ingredients

• 1 large sweet onion sliced
• 1 10 oz can cream of chicken soup
• 34 c milk
• 3 slices firm white bread crumbled
• 2 c shredded Cheddar cheese
• 12 c butter or margarine
• 18 tsp pepper

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Saute onion in butter in skillet until tender
3. Do not brown
4. Mix soup milk and pepper in bowl
5. Stir in bread 1 12 cups cheese and sauteed onions
6. Mix well
7. Pour into casserole
8. Chill for several hours if desired
9. Sprinkle with remaining 12 cup cheese
10. Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden
