HelenS Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 34 c margarine
• 1 c white sugar
• 2 eggs
• 12 tsp lemon flavoring or 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 12 c all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp salt

Directions

1. Mix sugar margarine eggs and flavorings thoroughly
2. Measure flour and sift
3. Stir flour baking powder and salt together Blend well and chill at least 1 hour
4. Heat oven to 400
5. Roll dough 18-inch thick on a lightly floured board
6. Cut with a 3-inch cookie cutter
7. Place on ungreased cookie sheet
8. Bake for 6 to 10 minutes or until golden brown
9. Makes 4 dozen cookies
