Herb Stuffed Mushrooms
Ingredients
- 16 large mushrooms
- 12 c chopped parsley
- 1 tsp savory crumbled
- 18 tsp pepper
- 1 c fresh bread crumbs
- 3 Tbsp finely chopped shallots or green onions
- 12 c butter
- 12 tsp salt
Directions
- Clean mushrooms
- Remove stems
- Chop stems finely
- Melt 14 cup butter in skillet
- Saute mushroom caps briefly on both sides Remove to shallow baking dish
- Melt remaining butter and saute stems and onions
- Remove from heat
- Add bread crumbs and remaining ingredients
- Toss to mix
- Spoon into caps
- Bake for 20 minutes at 350
