Hershey Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 6 (5 cent) plain Hershey candy bars or 6 (1.55 oz.) plain
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 (5 1/2 oz.) can Hershey’s syrup
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 2 1/2 c. flour

Directions

  1. Melt Hershey bars in oven with can of syrup; cool.
  2. Cream margarine and sugar.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time.
  4. Add melted bars and syrup.
  5. Then add flour, soda, salt and buttermilk, alternating dry ingredients and buttermilk.
  6. Add vanilla.
  7. Bake in a tube or loaf pan for 1 1/2 hours in a 325° oven.
