Hickory Nut Cookies

Hickory Nut Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 c butter softened
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • 2 18 c flour
  • 1 c hickory nuts chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 12 tsp salt

Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl until light
  2. Add egg mixing well
  3. Stir in flour until well combined
  4. Add remaining ingredients mix well
  5. Shape dough into 2 long rolls wrap each roll in waxed paper
  6. Chill several hours
  7. Slice rolls into 14-inch slices and place on cookie sheet
  8. Bake at 375 for 7 to 8 minutes
