Hickory Nut Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 c butter softened
- 1 c sugar
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 2 18 c flour
- 1 c hickory nuts chopped
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 12 tsp salt
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl until light
- Add egg mixing well
- Stir in flour until well combined
- Add remaining ingredients mix well
- Shape dough into 2 long rolls wrap each roll in waxed paper
- Chill several hours
- Slice rolls into 14-inch slices and place on cookie sheet
- Bake at 375 for 7 to 8 minutes
