Hillbilly Bean Soup

Ingredients
- 1 12 c dry beans
- 1 lb ham pieces
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 large chopped onion
- 1 large can tomatoes
- juice of 1 lemon
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pod green or red pepper chopped
Directions
- Wash beans
- Cover with water for 3 hours or overnight
- Drain and add beans to 2 quarts fresh water
- Add all other ingredients Cook all day or at least 4 hours
- Good with fried corn bread Enjoy
- Makes 6 to 8 servings
