Holiday Cauliflower
Ingredients
- 1 large head cauliflower
- 1 2 oz can sliced mushrooms
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1 c milk
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 c shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 Tbsp chopped pimento
Directions
- Bread cauliflower into medium sized flowerets cook in boiling water until tender about 10 minutes
- Drain well set aside
- In saucepan saute mushrooms in butter
- Blend in flour gradually Stir in milk
- Cook stirring constantly over medium heat until thick
- Stir in salt cheese and pimento
- Place 12 of cauliflower in buttered 2-quart casserole
- Cover with 12 the sauce
- Add remaining cauliflower and top with remaining sauce Bake at 325 for 15 minutes
