Holiday Cranberry MuffinsHeartwarming Christmas 1991

Ingredients
- 1 c raw cranberries chopped
- 12 c raw sugar
- 2 c flour
- 34 tsp baking soda
- 14 tsp salt
- 14 c sugar
- 1 egg beaten
- 34 c buttermilk
- 14 c shortening melted
Directions
- Let cranberries stand overnight in 12 cup sugar
- Combine dry ingredients
- Add liquid ingredients all at once
- Stir until moistened
- Add cranberries and stir
- Fill greased muffin pans 23 full
- Bake for 20 minutes at 400
- Yields 18
