Holiday Fruit Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 c soft shortening
- 2 c packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 12 c buttermilk
- 3 12 c self-rising flour
- 1 c chopped pecans
- 2 c chopped red and green cherries
Directions
- Mix well shortening brown sugar and eggs
- Add buttermilk and stir in flour
- It will be easier to work with if you chill dough overnight
- Drop by teaspoon on baking sheet and bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes or until done
- Yields 7 dozen
