Holiday Garlic Olives

Ingredients

  • 2 7 12 oz jars large or jumbo pitted ripe olives undrained
  • 1 12 tsp chili powder
  • 2 large cloves garlic crushed
  • 2 bay leaves crumbled
  • 14 c virgin olive oil
  • 12 tsp whole black pepper
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 1 4 oz jar pimientos drained and chopped

Directions

  1. Drain olives save liquid
  2. In small saucepan combine 1 cup olive liquid chili powder garlic bay leaves olive oil pepper and onion
  3. Heat to boiling
  4. Reduce heat simmer 5 minutes uncovered
  5. Stir in pimientos
  6. Place olives in a large jar pour seasoning mixture over
  7. Cover
  8. Refrigerate
  9. Make at least 3 to 4 days prior to serving
  10. Makes about 3 cups
