Home Style Short Ribs
Ingredients
- 3 to 4 lb short ribs
- 4 potatoes peeled and quartered
- 4 carrots peeled and quartered
- 1 onion sliced
- 2 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp horseradish
- 1 Tbsp prepared mustard
- 2 Tbsp catsup
- 1 c beef bouillon
- 1 tsp salt
- 14 tsp pepper
- 14 c flour
Directions
- In large skillet brown the short ribs drain
- Place next 3 ingredients in crock-pot
- Arrange ribs over vegetables
- Combine all remaining ingredients EXCEPT flour
- Pour over meat
- Cover and cook on low heat 6 to 8 hours or until meat is tender
- Remove ribs and vegetables
- Turn control to high
- Dissolve flour in small amount of water
- Stir into sauce and cook on high for 10 to 15 minutes until thickened
- Serve with meat and vegetables
- Yields 4 to 6 servings
