Homemade Health Cereal

Ingredients

  • 5 c oats old fashioned
  • 1 c chopped nuts pecans walnuts almonds
  • 1 c coconut
  • 1 c sunflower seeds
  • 1 c whole wheat flour
  • 1 c nonfat dry milk
  • 1 c regular toasted wheat germ
  • 1 c honey
  • 1 c corn oil

Directions

  1. Combine dry ingredients in large bowl
  2. Mix honey and oil together
  3. Add honey and oil to dry mixture and mix thoroughly until moist and in clumps
  4. Preheat oven to 300
  5. Spread mixture in 2 or 3 pans with sides
  6. Bake 15 minutes
  7. Stir from sides to center
  8. Bake 5 more minutes and stir
  9. Repeat every 5 minutes for 25 to 30 minutes
  10. Should spread out and be loose
  11. Spread on paper to cool
  12. Store in canister or Ziploc bags
  13. Add dried fruits of choice
