Homemade White Bread
Ingredients
- 2 pkg yeast
- 1 c lukewarm water
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 12 c scalded milk
- 2 tsp salt
- 14 c sugar
- 6 c flour about
Directions
- Soften yeast in warm water with 1 teaspoon of sugar for 5 minutes in one bowl
- Put scalded milk sugar and salt in another bowl and cool add 4 cups flour
- Mix until smooth
- Add yeast mixture to this
- Add more flour to form dough
- Cover with towel let rise
- When it doubles punch down
- Let rise again
- Separate into pans let rise again
- Bake at 400 for 45 minutes
