Honey Bran Rolls

Ingredients

  • 12 c oil
  • 1 c boiling water
  • 1 c bran
  • 23 c honey
  • 1 12 tsp salt
  • 1 c lukewarm water
  • 1 pkg yeast
  • 2 c whole wheat flour
  • 2 to 3 c unbleached whole flour

Directions

  1. Combine oil boiling water bran honey and salt
  2. Stir to blend cool to lukewarm
  3. Add yeast which has been softened in lukewarm water
  4. Add flour gradually to make soft dough
  5. Knead until smooth and satiny
  6. Let rise to double in bulk about 1 12 hours
  7. Grease hands well dough is very sticky form into rolls
  8. Drop from spoon if using muffin tins
  9. Let rise 35 to 40 minutes
  10. Bake 25 to 40 minutes at 375
