Hot Asparagus Canapes
Ingredients
- 20 slices bread thin
- 3 oz pkg Blue cheese
- 8 oz pkg cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 20 spears cooked asparagus
- 12 lb melted butter
Directions
- Trim crust from bread and flatten with rolling pin slightly Blend cheeses and egg to workable consistency then spread on bread
- Place an asparagus spear on each slice and roll each securing each with a toothpick
- Dip in melted butter so as to coat thoroughly
- Place on a cookie sheet and freeze
- Remove and slice into 3 equal sections
- Bake at 400 for about 15 minutes or until lightly browned
