Hot Buttered AsparagusVegetable

Ingredients

  • 1 lb asparagus
  • 1 Tbsp corn oil margarine
  • 14 c fresh bread crumbs
  • 18 tsp salt
  • 3 to 4 shakes hot pepper sauce

Directions

  1. Wash asparagus and trim tough parts of stems set aside Prepare bread crumbs put in blender or food processor to make fine crumbs
  2. Steam asparagus in small amount of water until tender
  3. Melt margarine in pan add hot pepper sauce
  4. Add crumbs and salt saute until golden
  5. Place well-drained asparagus in serving dish top with hot bread crumbs
  6. Serves 4
