Hot Chicken Salad
Ingredients
- 6 double chicken breasts cooked until tender
- 1 c finely chopped celery
- 3 cans water chestnuts drained and sliced
- 3 c mayonnaise
- 3 large cans mushrooms stems and pieces
- 2 pkg slivered almonds 1 to 2 c
- 1 small jar pimento
- 3 cans French fried onion rings
- 3 c grated sharp Cheddar cheese
Directions
- Cook chicken until tender tear off in bite size pieces
- Mix with remaining ingredients except onion rings and cheese
- Pour into large greased baking dish
- Spread on top French fried onion rings and grated cheese
- Bake at 350 until hot and bubbly about 30 minutes
- This freezes well
