Hot Milk Sponge Cake

Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2 c sugar
- 6 Tbsp butter
- 2 c sifted flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 c hot milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Beat eggs until light
- Gradually add sugar
- Blend thoroughly
- Fold in sifted dry ingredients
- Heat milk and butter
- Fold in the hot milk butter and flavoring
- Bake in greased and floured 9-inch layer cake pans in a 400 oven for 25 to 30 minutes
- Also bakes well in a tube pan
