Hot Mustard-Cheese Bread
Ingredients
- 1 1 lb loaf French bread
- 12 c 8 Tbsp butter or margarine softened
- 14 c chopped scallions or chives
- 3 Tbsp horseradish mustard
- 6 to 8 slices bacon cooked crisp and crumbled
- 2 tsp poppy seed
- 10 oz sliced Swiss cheese
Directions
- Cut bread into 20 slices cutting to but not through bottom crust
- In bowl combine butter scallions mustard bacon and poppy seed
- Spread on both sides of bread slices
- Cut cheese slices in halves diagonally
- Place cheese triangles between bread slices
- Wrap bread in foil
- Bake at 350 about 20 minutes Serve hot
- Serves 20
