Hot Pepper Relish
Ingredients
- 24 hot peppers
- 12 medium onions
- boiling water just to cover peppers and onions
- 4 c vinegar
- 2 c sugar
- 14 c salt
- 2 tsp mustard seed
- cold water to cover peppers and onions
Directions
- Chop peppers and onions
- Pour boiling water over peppers and onions then drain
- Cover with cold water
- Bring to boiling point then drain again
- Put vinegar salt sugar and mustard seed in another pan and bring to boil
- Add to peppers and onions and boil 1 minute
- Fill jars and seal
