Hot Pineapple Side Dish
Ingredients
- 1 20 oz can pineapple chunks
- 12 c sugar
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 14 c butter or oleo melted
- 1 12 c 6 oz shredded Cheddar cheese divided
- 23 c coarsely crushed saltines 14 crackers
Directions
- Drain pineapple reserving 14 cup of the juice set aside In medium bowl combine sugar and flour
- Add the butter and 1 cup cheese mix well
- Gently stir in pineapple
- Pour into a greased shallow 1 12-quart baking dish
- Sprinkle crushed crackers on top drizzle with reserved pineapple juice
- Bake uncovered at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes or until bubbly
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with remaining cheese
- This is great with ham
- Serves six
