Hot Spinach Dip

Ingredients

  • 2 10 oz boxes frozen chopped spinach thawed cooked and drained reserving juice
  • 1 stick butter
  • 4 Tbsp chopped onion
  • 4 Tbsp flour
  • 1 small can evaporated milk undiluted
  • 12 c spinach juice
  • 6 oz jalapeno Jack cheese grated
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • salt to taste

Directions

  1. Melt butter in large skillet
  2. Saute onion until soft
  3. Add flour milk and spinach juice
  4. Continue to cook until thick
  5. Add cheese and spinach
  6. Add Worcestershire sauce and salt
  7. Serve hot in chafing dish with toast points or corn chips
