Hungarian Goulash

Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 lb stew meat
  • 1 onion chopped
  • salt
  • pepper
  • paprika
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp flour
  • water
  • 1 Tbsp oil

Directions

  1. Heat oil in large pan
  2. Add beef cubes brown them on all sides stirring every couple of minutes
  3. Add 1 onion chopped Continue browning meat-onion mixture for a minute or so
  4. Sprinkle flour on mix stirring constantly adding water slowly to prevent clumping of flour
  5. Season with salt pepper and paprika
  6. Sauce should be spicy
  7. Simmer slowly for 1 hour stirring occasionally Serve over cooked noodles or rice with a salad
  8. To ensure tender meat cover pot during simmering
