Hungarian Keiffels

Ingredients

  • 4 c sifted flour
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 12 lb butter
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 34 c sour cream
  • 1 cake yeast

Directions

  1. Crumble yeast in sour cream
  2. Beat the egg yolks
  3. Add cream then mix with flour mixture
  4. Knead ingredients to form a ball Roll out in circles fill with a nut filling
  5. Bake 8 minutes in 350 oven
  6. Brush with egg yolk and return to oven to bake 10 minutes more
