Hushpuppies

Ingredients

• 2 c self-rising corn meal
• 1 small onion finely chopped
• 1 egg beaten
• 34 c milk

Directions

1. Combine corn meal milk egg and onion
2. Mix well
3. Drop by rounded teaspoonful into deep hot oil 375 frying only a few at a time until golden brown
4. Drain on absorbent paper
5. Makes about 2 dozen hushpuppies
