Hussar SaladPopular Dutch Dish For Fall And Winter
Ingredients
- 12 lb cooked beef diced
- 2 tart apples chopped
- 2 pickled beets chopped
- 12 c diced bread and butter pickles
- 6 medium sized cooked potatoes diced
- 2 Tbsp diced pickled onion
- 1 small yellow onion
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 2 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 Tbsp prepared mustard
- salt and pepper to taste
- lettuce mayonnaise 2 hard-boiled eggs sliced and 1 tomato cut into wedges garnishes
Directions
- Mix meat apples beets pickles potatoes and onion
- Combine remaining ingredients pour over salad mixture and marinate overnight
- Serve over lettuce garnish with mayonnaise eggs and tomato wedges
