Indiana Picnic Cake

Ingredients

• 2 c brown sugar
• 2 c flour
• 1 stick butter
• 12 c nuts chopped
• 1 egg
• 1 c buttermilk or sour milk
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 12 tsp salt

Directions

1. In a bowl sift first 2 ingredients add butter and nuts and mix all together
2. Take out 1 cup set aside
3. Add to bowl the rest of the ingredients
4. Beat well and put in greased square pan 9 x 9-inch then sprinkle the cup of crumb mixture on top
5. Bake in preheated oven at 350 for 45 to 50 minutes
