Irish Stew

Ingredients

  • 2 lb stew beef
  • 6 large carrots
  • 6 to 8 good sized potatoes
  • 6 large onions
  • 6 turnips

Directions

  1. Bring meat to a boil in large pan
  2. When meat is about half cooked add the carrots sliced and the onions and turnips quartered
  3. Cook until vegetables are about half done
  4. Then add the potatoes cut in quarters
  5. Season with salt and pepper Cook until the stew begins to thicken
