Italian Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 12 lb bulk Italian sausage
  • 1 12 lb ground beef
  • 1 c chopped onion
  • 1 c chopped green pepper
  • 2 cans 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 cans 6 oz tomato paste
  • 12 c water
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 18 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cans 8 34 oz whole kernel corn drained
  • 2 cans 2 14 oz sliced ripe olives drained
  • 1 16 oz pkg wide noodles cooked and drained
  • 8 oz Cheddar cheese cut into strips

Directions

  1. In a Dutch oven over medium heat cook sausage beef onion and green pepper until meat is browned and vegetables are tender drain
  2. Add tomato sauce and paste water and seasonings bring to a boil
  3. Reduce heat cover and simmer for 15 minutes
  4. Add corn and olives cover and simmer for 5 minutes
  5. Stir in noodles Pour into two greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dishes top with cheese
  6. Cover and bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes or until heated through
  7. Yield 16 to 20 servings
