Italian Cheese Sticks

Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 1 c shredded sharp Cheddar
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 12 tsp dried oregano crushed
  • 14 tsp salt
  • few dashes of cayenne
  • 2 Tbsp water

Directions

  1. Bring butter and cheese to room temperature
  2. Beat together the butter and cheese until well blended
  3. Combine flour oregano salt and cayenne add to cheese mixture gradually
  4. Add water mix until well blended
  5. Form dough into a ball
  6. Roll out on floured surface to 14-inch thickness
  7. Cut into 3 x 34-inch strips or cut into shapes with small cookie cutters
  8. Bake on ungreased baking sheet in 400 oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned
  9. Serve warm or cold
  10. Makes about 40
