Italian Cheese Sticks
Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp butter
- 1 c shredded sharp Cheddar
- 1 c all-purpose flour
- 12 tsp dried oregano crushed
- 14 tsp salt
- few dashes of cayenne
- 2 Tbsp water
Directions
- Bring butter and cheese to room temperature
- Beat together the butter and cheese until well blended
- Combine flour oregano salt and cayenne add to cheese mixture gradually
- Add water mix until well blended
- Form dough into a ball
- Roll out on floured surface to 14-inch thickness
- Cut into 3 x 34-inch strips or cut into shapes with small cookie cutters
- Bake on ungreased baking sheet in 400 oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned
- Serve warm or cold
- Makes about 40
