Italian Coconut Cake

Ingredients
- 2 c sugar
- 5 egg yolks
- 2 sticks margarine
- 2 c sifted flour
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 tsp soda
- 12 tsp salt
- 2 c shredded coconut
- 12 c nuts
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 5 egg whites
Directions
- Cream together sugar egg yolks and margarine
- Stir in sifted flour buttermilk soda and salt
- Add coconut nuts and vanilla Fold in beaten egg whites
- Bake in three 8-inch layer cake pans at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes
