Italian Cream Cake

Ingredients
- 1 stick margarine
- 12 c shortening
- 2 c sugar
- 5 egg yolks
- 2 c flour
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 small can coconut
- 1 c chopped nuts
- 5 egg whites beaten stiff
Directions
- Cream margarine and shortening
- Add sugar
- Beat well
- Add egg yolks
- Combine flour and soda add to mixture along with buttermilk
- Add vanilla
- Add coconut and nuts
- Fold in egg whites
- Bake in 3 pans at 250 for 25 minutes
- Top with Cream Cheese Frosting
