Italian Creme Cake
Ingredients
- 2 c sugar
- 5 eggs separated
- 1 stick oleo
- 12 c Crisco
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 small can coconut
- 2 c flour sifted
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 c pecans chopped
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Cream oleo sugar and Crisco
- Add beaten egg yolks
- Add soda to buttermilk
- Alternate adding buttermilk and flour to creamed mixture
- Add pecans coconut and vanilla
- Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture
- Bake three layers at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes Do not overbake
