Italian Creme Cake
Ingredients
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 t soda
- 2 c sugar
- 14 lb margarine
- 12 c shortening
- 5 egg yolks
- 2 c flour
- 1 t vanilla
- 5 egg whites stiffly beaten
- 1 c chopped pecans
- 1 sm can chopped coconut
Directions
- Combine buttermilk and soda and let stand for a few minutes Cream together sugar margarine and shortening
- Add egg yolks one at a time
- Add flour alternately with buttermilk mixture
- Fold in vanilla eggs whites pecans and coconut
- Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 25-30 in 3 greased pans
