Italian Meat Pie
Ingredients
- 1 12 lb ground beef
- 12 lb pork sausage
- 34 c oats
- 12 c tomato sauce
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 12 tsp salt optional
- 12 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp oregano
- 12 c Parmesan cheese
- 10 oz pkg frozen chopped spinach cooked and drained
- 2 16 oz cans baby tomatoes drained and sliced
- 12 oz grated Mozzarella cheese
Directions
- Combine meats oats tomato sauce egg seasonings and 12 of the Parmesan cheese
- Pack into bottom and halfway up the sides of an ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking pan
- Bake at 350 for 25 minutes drain fat
- Top meat with spinach
- Arrange tomatoes over spinach Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese
- Top with Mozzarella Bake at 350 for 15 minutes more or until cheese is golden brown and bubbly
- Yields approximately 10 servings
