Italian Rolls
Ingredients
- 2 c water
- 12 c oil not butter
- 14 c sugar
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 13 c warm water
- 2 cakes Tbsp yeast
- 2 large eggs
- 6 c flour
Directions
- Bring 2 cups water to a boil
- Pour over oil sugar and salt Cook
- until
- only
- lukewarm
- Dissolve
- yeast in 13 c warm water
- Add
- to
- cooled mixture along with the eggs and 3 cups flour
- Stir
- until
- smooth
- Add
- remaining 3 cups flour and blend in
- Turn out onto a lightly floured board and knead lightly
- Shape
- into rolls and place on greased pans I use 9 x 13-inch pans
- Let rise until doubled
- Bake at 375 for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown
