Italian Sausage Bean Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 20 oz can white kidney beans drained
  • 1 20 oz can red kidney beans drained
  • 2 15 oz cans butter lima beans drained
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • oregano
  • dry mustard
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar

Directions

  1. Cut sausage in bite size pieces and brown in frying pan
  2. Brown onion in sausage juice
  3. Add tomato paste and 1 or more cans of water salt pepper a little oregano 12 teaspoon dry mustard and 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  4. Simmer about 10 minutes
  5. Add drained beans and browned sausage
  6. Mix well
  7. Spoon into casserole or oblong baking dish
  8. Bake 45 to 60 minutes uncovered at 350
  9. This recipe may be prepared the night before and baked the next day
