Italian Spaghetti Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 c chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 1 lb 13 oz cans tomato puree
- 2 6 oz cans tomato paste
- 14 c snipped parsley
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 12 tsp dried oregano
- 14 tsp dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 sprigs smack fresh basil
Directions
- In large pot combine onion garlic and olive oil
- Saute but dont brown
- Add remaining ingredients
- Simmer 3 hours
- Add meatballs the last hour
- Serve with freshly grated Italian cheese
